How do I create a JamXfer account?

Is there a minimum balance requirement?

There is no minimum balance requirement for your JamXfer wallet. You can keep any amount you'd like.

How do I update my personal information?

Go to Settings > Profile in the app to update your information. Some changes may require additional verification.

Can I close my account?

Yes, you can close your account at any time by contacting customer support. Make sure to withdraw any remaining balance first.

Is JamXfer secure?

Yes. JamXfer uses bank-level encryption, PIN verification for transactions, two-factor authentication, and complies with financial regulations to keep your money safe.

What happens if I forget my PIN?

You can reset your PIN through the app by verifying your identity via email or SMS. For security, this requires multi-step verification.

How do I send money to someone in Jamaica?

Log in to your account, click 'Send Money', enter the recipient's phone number or email, specify the amount, and confirm with your PIN. The recipient receives the funds instantly.

What are the fees for sending money?

Standard P2P transfers between JamXfer users are free. There may be small fees for certain payment methods or instant transfers. All fees are shown transparently before you confirm.

How do I add money to my wallet?

You can add money using a debit card, credit card, or bank transfer. Card deposits are instant, while bank transfers take 1-3 business days.

How do I cash out to my debit card?

Link your debit card in Profile, then go to Withdrawals and select 'Cash Out to Card'. Standard payouts are free and take 1-3 business days. Instant payouts cost 1.5% and arrive in about 30 minutes.

What cryptocurrencies does JamXfer support?

JamXfer supports Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), and Tether (USDT). You can buy, sell, send, receive, and cash out these cryptocurrencies directly from your wallet.

Which blockchain networks are supported?

We support Ethereum Mainnet, Base, and Polygon for ETH and stablecoins. Bitcoin operates on its own native network. You can switch networks in your Web3 wallet settings.

How do I connect my Web3 wallet?

Go to the Web3 Payments section and tap 'Connect Wallet'. JamXfer works with MetaMask and any wallet that supports WalletConnect. Once connected, you can view your balance, generate payment links, and manage transactions.

What is a Web3 QR payment link?

A Web3 QR payment link lets you request crypto from anyone by sharing a QR code or link. You set the amount and currency, and the recipient scans or clicks to pay directly from their wallet. Perfect for freelancers, vendors, and friends.

How do I claim a crypto payment?

If someone sent you a Web3 payment link, open it and connect your wallet. The funds will be transferred to your wallet address automatically once the sender confirms. You can also scan QR codes directly from the Claim Payment page.

How do I buy crypto on JamXfer?

We integrate with Coinbase Onramp so you can buy crypto using your debit card or bank account. Go to your Web3 wallet, tap 'Buy Crypto', choose your amount and currency, and complete the purchase through Coinbase's secure checkout.

Can I cash out crypto to my bank or card?

Yes. Convert your crypto to Jamaican dollars in your wallet, then use Stripe Connect cash-out to transfer funds to your linked debit card. Standard payouts are free and take 1-3 business days. Instant payouts cost 1.5% and arrive in about 30 minutes.

What are network fees and who pays them?

Network fees (also called gas fees) are charges paid to the blockchain validators for processing your transaction. Ethereum fees are typically higher; Base and Polygon fees are much lower. The sender pays the network fee.

Is my crypto safe on JamXfer?

Your crypto is secured by your connected wallet's private keys. JamXfer never stores your seed phrase or private keys. We use read-only access to display balances and facilitate transactions.

Can I send crypto to someone who does not have a wallet?

Yes, through Web3 QR payment links. Generate a payment request and share the link. The recipient can claim the payment by connecting any wallet. No JamXfer account is required to claim.
